It may sometimes occur to us why a particular style of art is peculiar to a culture, why a certain set of human is dismissive of a particular form of a creative expression. This is where art functions as a metaphor (reflection) of human existence. These are some of the issues this study intends to discuss. It elucidates the role of art as an evidence of human existence; the study also looks into what constitutes human visual culture, which influences the metaphoric attributes of art to represent human beings in the manner it does varying from cultures and societies across the world. This study explores ancient Greek artistic origins as a lens. Based on Culture Revolution, evidences of art as peculiarity of each civilization was analyzed and comparison was soughed to establish the claim that art serves as metaphor of human existence.
