This article addresses the use of qualitative research method in achieving a successful art research. This is because art is subjective and cannot be judged by a particular means; on the other hand, qualitative research is a subjective method of research. Particular attention is given to different methods and designs that are available in qualitative research, which are also useful in art research. Some of these methods includes: Descriptive method, case study and model building, interview, systematic collection and management of data, among others.
