Finance is central to all other resources in any organization. It is a major determinant of the performance of all other resources engaged in any organization. The crux of this paper was on the innovative strategies for financial management in Nigerian public secondary schools. The paper unveiled some problems inherent in the existing strategies being employed in financial management in public secondary schools which calls for innovative strategies. Consequently, it was recommended that UNESCO Policy on Education Budget, tripartite funding system, strict financial control, Direct Labour and PPBS budgeting system should be adopted by all educational managers. All the managers of public secondary schools in Nigeria must be dynamic in their management approach. Keywords: innovative strategies, financial management public secondary school | A.
