Ifá is one of the leading pantheons among the Yorùbá people. In this study, attempt is made to critically portray Ifá literary corpus on how it reflects socio-cultural and political issues in Yorùbá nation with a view to revealing the vital components of the Yorùbá cultural assets and multiple uniqueness of earlier writers on Ifá poems know as Odù verses personal interviews with Ifá priests were carried out to further the analysis which is attempted here. All Ẹsẹ̀- Ifá is a wealth of wisdom that teaches almost all aspects of human activities which shapes the standard of living of the people in the community. Similarly, the paper established the Ẹsẹ̀- Ifá plays pivotal roles by affecting lives in positive ways, provides adequate development for the society and makes relevant changes in the people living within the society. The paper concludes that if adequate attention is paid to Ifá corpus and judiciously utilized, our society would be socio-culturally and politically stable and progressive.
