Everybody who has gone through school would most likely have experienced some difficulty, either in classroom or out of the classroom in one subject or the other. Such difficulties could have been encountered in learning to relate with peers or teachers; in hoping with one demand of school life or generally adapting to school routines. Some students may have one form of low and high incidence disabilities ranging from emotional and behavioral disturbance, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities amongst others. Such students are in need of special education and related service in order to be able to hope with the demands of education. There is the need to identify these students through child find, parental and professional referrals at home or community or regular classroom setting in order to place them appropriately for special education and related service after due parental involvement and consent in order for these students to maximize their potentials. Conclusively, special needs education is important to cater for specific needs of students with special needs.
