Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

          Materials and Methods
          Results
          Discussion
          Conclusion and Recommendation
          Acknowledgement (where any)
          References

  1. Please, ensure to specify one sub-discipline category which is most suitable for your article at top left hand corner of the first page of the manuscript from the following: Engineering/Technology; Pure and Applied Sciences; Agriculture; and Computer Science and Engineering.
  2. This should be followed by the title of the manuscript, which should be brief containing maximum of 21 words.
  3. There should be a running title with maximum of 10 words that will run across every page of the manuscript.
  4. Authors’ full names (first-name, middle-name, and last-name), Affiliations (Department and Institution) and functional email address of Corresponding author should then follow
  5. The abstract should contain maximum of 200 words, containing i) Brief background to the problem and study’s main aim; ii) Materials and Methods (Methodology); iii) Results (Main findings); and iv) Conclusion
  6. The abstract should be followed by keywords, five at most.
  7. Minimum and maximum number of words allowed per manuscript is 4,000 –8,000, respectively.
  8. Manuscript should be typewritten using Times New Roman font, size 12, with single line spacing and Normal margin (1” all sides). Every page should be numbered in the lower-left hand corner, including title page, references, tables, etc. Text figures should be cited as “Fig. 1” and Tables as “Table 1”. Tables and Figures should be placed close to where they are cited in the text and not separate at the back of the entire manuscript. Each table should have a brief title above the table. Table footnotes should be below the table. Citation of references in the text should be chronological and in the form “Odeyale (2000) reported… “Or this was reported as standard practice (Odeyale, 2000; 2002) or (Adewale, 2000; Ayodele, 2004a,b)”. Footnotes should be rarely used, typed at the bottom of the page to which they refer, and separated from the text by a line.
  9. Report all data in metric unit and provide at least one measure of variability (e.g. standard error or standard deviation) when reporting quantitative data. Abbreviations of any term should be spelled out in full at first mention.
  10. References
All literature citations should be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. The list should be arranged alphabetically on authors’ names, and chronological per author. Where an author is also cited with co-authors, the following order should be adopted in the reference list; publication of the single author arranged chronologically, publication of the same author with a single co-author, publications of the author with more than one co-author. Publications by the same author in the same year should be listed as 2000a, b, etc. The full title for each reference must be given, as well as the complete paging for all items. Abbreviation of serial periodicals must follow the world list of scientific periodicals or the union list of serials.
