Mining provides a wide variety of natural resources needed to satisfy the diverse modern civilized world needs, which include myriads of industries, energy, construction, chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive, electronics, etc. The global trend of mineral extraction indicate phenomenal increase in demand for metallic and industrial minerals in recent times. The largest growth in the group of industrial and construction materials clearly indicate the relationship between the extraction of the resources and economic growth. The availability of raw mineral commodities to meet the need of strategic products that are crucial to the development of many new technologies in the expanding global market makes it mandatory for any economy to evaluate its resources.
