Bio: Aliyu Okuta Ahmad holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Arabic Language from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Master Arts (M. A) and Bachelor of Arts (B. A) Degrees in Arabic Language & Literature from University of Ilorin. His areas of research interest include Arabic Linguistic Studies, Historical Linguistics & Sociolinguistics. He is currently a member of the University Examination & Timetable Committee and the Sub-Dean Faculty of Humanities, Management & Social Sciences.

Academic Awards/Research Grants: Second best overall graduating student (2001), Department of Religions, University of Ilorin.
