CALL FOR PAPERS
The Editorial Board of LexScriptio, an online publication of the Department of Jurisprudence and Public Law, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria, invites submission of well researched articles, recent developments, statutes or case reviews on current topical and contemporary legal issues to its June 2025 Edition. This journal offers a unique opportunity for Law Teachers, Researchers, Legal Practitioners and Scholars to make robust contributions to any issue in any area of law.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS
All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Manuscripts must be original and should Not have been submitted elsewhere.
2. Manuscripts must include a title page with the following details: (i) Name(s) of Author(s), (ii) Informative Title, (iii) Affiliation(s) and address (es) of the Author(s), (iv) E-mail address and Telephone Numbers of the corresponding author.
3. Submissions should contain an Abstract of not more than 300 words with a minimum of 4-6 Keywords placed immediately at the bottom of the abstract.
4. Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing, 12 font size, with footnotes in font 10, and on A4 Paper.
5. Articles should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, Recent Developments should be between 4,000 and 5,000 words while Commentaries and Reviews should be between 3,000 and 4,000 words.
6. Submissions must be in the United Kingdom (UK) English British Standard, except for quoted words and expressions; non-English words and expressions must be in italics.
7. The approved style guide for submissions by Nigerian Authors is the Nigerian Association of Law
Teachers (NALT) Uniform Citation Guideline of Referencing accessible at https://sabilaw.org/naltreferencing-guide/. Non Nigerian Authors can adhere to the Oxford University Referencing Style (OSCOLA). In addition to full citation, online sources should indicate the site visited and date of visit.
8. Authors/contributors should note that all manuscripts submitted for publication will be subjected to a blind peer-review and plagiarism check.
9. Publication of articles indicates the contributors’ consent to the automatic transfer of all copyrights thereto, to the publisher of LexScriptio.
10. It is the responsibility of authors to adequately proof-read their articles, and bear responsibility for all opinions expressed.
11. Articles accepted for publication shall only be published online and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) shall be assigned to the article.
12. Payment of assessment fee in the sum of five thousand naira only (N5000) to be paid into the following account details- Dept. Of Jurisprudence & Public Law, 1100071633, KWASU Microfinance Bank.
13. Manuscripts and evidence of payment of assessment fee should be sent as attachments in ms word format to lexscriptio@kwasu.edu.ng cc: khafayat.olatinwo@kwasu.edu.ng
